Your privacy is important to us. To betterprotect your privacy we provide this Privacy Policy, which explains ourinformation practices and the choices you can make about the way yourinformation is collected and used. The Information We Collect
This Privacy Policy applies to allinformation collected by Audi Canada.
We may collect your personal information atdifferent times, including on this website, at special events, through customersurveys, and through our Customer Relations department.
The types of personal information collectedmay include:
- Name
- Address
- E-mail address
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Purchase preferences
When you: (i) purchase your vehicle from anauthorized dealer; or (ii) finance your purchase or lease a vehicle through VWCredit Canada, Inc. d/b/a Audi Finance (“Audi Finance”), we will collectinformation from the dealer and/or Audi Finance regarding your purchase for ourowner database, including for warranty and product campaign –updating purposesand to include you in customer service surveys. Your purchase, finance andlease transactions will be subject to additional terms regarding your personalinformation provided in connection with such transactions, and its use by us, AudiFinance and our dealers.
How We Use Information
We use the personal information you providefor the purposes that we identify when we ask you to provide the information,including the following:
- Torespond to requests for products, information or services;
- Tobetter understand your preferences and needs and to improve our products andservices;
- Toadminister your vehicle warranty, purchase, lease or financing;
- Formarket research purposes;
- Toprovide you with information about your vehicle (including product campaigns);and
- Toinclude you in advertising and marketing campaigns, including serving targetedads.
We may use non-identifying and aggregateinformation derived from your personal information to better understand ourcustomers’ purchase and product/service preferences, through statisticalanalyses and studies.
Personal information may be collected, used,or disclosed without the knowledge or consent of the individual in certaincircumstances, as permitted or required by law. These circumstances includepersonal information which is subject to solicitor-client privilege or is publiclyavailable, where collection or use is clearly in the interests of theindividual and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way, to investigate abreach of an agreement or a contravention of a law, to act in response to anemergency that threatens the life, health or security of an individual, fordebt collection, or to comply with a subpoena, warrant or court order.
When your personal information is no longerrequired to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, it will bedestroyed, erased, or made anonymous, provided there are no legal requirementsfor its continued retention. Our systematic practices for information andrecords retention and destruction apply to personal information.
How we Share Your Personal Information
For the purposes outlined above, we may shareyour personal information with Audi Finance and with our authorizeddealers. Unless you request us not to doso, you agree that we may use and disclose your personal information to AudiFinance and our authorized dealers for the purposes of selectively includingyou in advertising and marketing campaigns related to Audi Canada, Audi Financeor our authorized dealers and their products and services. If you would prefer that we not use yourpersonal information for such advertising or marketing campaigns, pleasecontact us in any of the ways described below under the heading “How to ContactUs”.
Your personal information may be transferredto third party service providers that we use to assist in managing andprocessing your personal information for the purposes identified above. Ourthird party service providers are required to use, maintain and disclose yourpersonal information only in accordance with our instructions to them and onlyon our behalf.
When you purchase a vehicle equipped with atrial subscription to SiriusXM Satellite Radio, we will share your personalinformation with Sirius XM Canada Inc. in order to complete the serviceactivation.
We will never sell your personal informationto any other company, or disclose it to any other entities, except with either,your prior consent, or as may be required or permitted by law.
Location of Your Personal Information
Your personal information may be stored onservers located outside of Canada (including the United States) or transferredoutside of Canada for processing. Please note that the privacy laws in suchjurisdictions differ from Canadian privacy laws and are subject to disclosurepursuant to the laws of those countries, and in some jurisdictions yourpersonal information may be accessed by law enforcement authorities or thecourts.
Your Consent and Electronic Messages
We will only send email, text or otherelectronic messages to you if you have an existing vehicle warranty, otherextended coverage or some other form of existing business relationship with usor have asked for or otherwise expressly agreed to receive emails, texts orother electronic messages from us. Any electronic message that you receive fromus will identify us as the sender, enable you to contact us directly andprovide for a means of unsubscribing from further electronic messages.
A Word on “Cookies”
"Cookies" are small items of datathat some websites either write to your hard drive upon your visit to theirsite(s) or store in the browser. These data files contain information the sitecan use to organize the pages you have visited on a particular website. Some ofour websites may use "cookie" technology to measure site activity andsave site preferences. In this way, we can deliver tailor-made informationsuiting your personal interests upon your next visit to our site(s). Our use of"cookie" technology is, thus, to provide you with a moreindividualized delivery of information and an optimal viewing experience.
Tracking Technologies: Web Beacons/Gifs,Pixels, Page Tags, Script
Web pages, emails and mobile apps may containa small transparent image file or line of code to record how you interact withthem. They are often used in conjunction with web browser cookies (or theunique identifier of your mobile device) and they are used to help us to betteranalyze and improve our services. For example, these technologies may trackwhich web pages you visit or which elements of a page you viewed, when and forhow long, whether you viewed and/or clicked on an advertisement on a site orwhether you opened or clicked on marketing emails sent to you. When corresponding with you via HTML capableemail, we may use "format sensing" technology, which allows pixeltags to let us know whether you received and opened our e-mail.

How We Use and Share InformationWe may use your personal information in a number of ways, such as to send promotional emails to you, to enter you into contests and sweepstakes, to participate in our online communities, to conduct surveys and market research, to provide product materials and updates on new products and services, to respond to queries, and to provide order status and order tracking information to you. We may use your personal information for marketing research and marketing purposes, which may include sharing it with Audi authorized dealerships, for customer service purposes, with outside research companies, or with service providers that provide marketing, research, or other services for us, including service providers that may be located outside of the United States. If you choose to save information, such as a vehicle configuration, on the Audi Properties, we may contact you to follow up on your interest in our cars. We may share your personal information (a) within the Audi family of companies, which includes parents, corporate affiliates, subsidiaries, business units and other companies that share common ownership, including Audi AG, (b) with other corporate partners, agencies and vendors working with Audi, and (c) with your vehicle’s satellite radio and/or wireless service provider, if applicable, in order to enable those service providers to contact you with important information about your vehicle’s satellite or wireless services and for their own marketing purposes. In addition, we may share your personal information to comply with law or legal requirements, enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, or protect our rights, property, or safety of our users, or others. We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes, unless you consent to such sharing. Personal information received from Audi authorized dealerships may, in some cases, be used and shared in these ways. If we or some or all of our assets are acquired by another company, including through a sale in connection with bankruptcy, that company will possess the information collected by us, and it will assume the rights and obligations regarding your information as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share non-personal and aggregate information with our advertising agencies and other third-party affiliates to customize the design of the Audi Properties. Do Not Track SignalsSome browsers have incorporated Do Not Track (DNT) preferences. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal to the website you are visiting that you do not wish the collection and use of data regarding your online searching and browsing activities. As there is not yet a common understanding on how to interpret the DNT signal, we currently do not respond to DNT signals on our site.
Refund policyReturned products must be in new, unused condition and include the original box and/or packaging. Once we receive your return and inspect it (usually within 48 hours of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original payment methods. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to be posted to your account. Parts WarrantyAudi Genuine Parts 2 year/unlimited distance Limited Warranty
Audi Canada warrants that every new and factory-remanufactured part, which is imported or distributed by Audi Canada and sold by authorized Audi dealer as a new or factory-remanufactured part to a retail customer, will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for 2 years, unlimited distance. This warranty is transferable to subsequent owners free of charge. Audi Canada warrants the replacement of any product which, under normal condition of use and service, is found to be defective in material or workmanship, free of charge. Some parts, including batteries, come with a longer warranty.
Audi Genuine Accessories Limited Warranty
Accessories are covered for the new vehicle limited warranty period of 4 years / 80,000 kilometres (whichever occurs first) when purchased at the time of new vehicle purchase. If purchased from an authorized dealer during the new-vehicle limited warranty period, accessories are covered for the longer of either the remainder of that new-vehicle limited warranty period or a period of 2 years / 40,000 kilometres.
